Google+ Hangout On Air this Sunday! - ArneLovius - 2013-04-14 02:37 couldn't make the hangout, and I'm about to be mostly offline for the next fee weeks, but a few notes from watching the video Windows Server 2008 storage server includes an iSCSI target, the iSCSI target was also released for 200r2 http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=19867 I currently use the 2012 iSCSI server, it works reasonably well, I could not get iPXE to work with Starwind. I also tried LIO http://linux-iscsi.org/wiki/Main_Page but was also unsuccessful I use the Windows Server 2003 tftp server (tftpd.exe) running as a service under 2008r2, but for running on Win7, tftpd32 is probably a better solution, however if you're running on Win7 you also need a DHCP server that can be used to "break out", a howto on doing this with tftpd32 would be great if anyone knows... |
