iPXE booting Windows 7 off iSCSI on a Mac? - CMPXCHG8B - 2015-03-20 09:16 Greetings to all! I was just wondering if the following was possible or not. I've been trying to unsuccessfully build a x86_64-elf toolchain to cross-compile iPXE, though I haven't really gotten anywhere with that- I figured I might as well ask and see if what I want to do is even possible to begin with. I've got a couple of Mac systems here (a classic Mac Pro, and two laptops) and I was wondering if I could netboot Windows 7 via iSCSI on them, preferably through EFI. The only mention I've seen about iSCSI and EFI booting was from two years ago. Is this now possible? -CMPX RE: iPXE booting Windows 7 off iSCSI on a Mac? - robinsmidsrod - 2016-10-07 09:20 iSCSI sanboot is not yet possible under UEFI (which is what Macs use). It's on the TODO list, but it is currently lacking funding/developer time.
