I don't suppose there's a way for me to make a boot.ipxe which doesn't add the Block IO protocol stub?

I need to chain to Solaris 11 Automated Installer, so I don't think I have a choice but to use grub2. Can you suggest how I could workaround the 1B stub being perceived as a disk?

Indeed, that was not clear to me at all. I was using the wrong file. I changed to snponly.eif now have the iPXE banner and prompt. Thank you! Darie

I think I could boot undionly.kpxe, then pick up boot.ipxe to bring up a menu, as described in https://gist.github.com/robinsmidsrod/2234639, and in that menu, include all the desired install options....
