Question Wimboot error on HP Gen8 hardware
Hi guys,

We have an existing iPXE implementation in production here which is working like magic for building CentOS and other Linux distros. We are now trying to integrate our Windows build (currently on WDS/MDT) with iPXE and running into an issues building on HP Gen8 hardware. We can successfully build without issues on any other supported hardware (HP G7 and G6 even VMware) but Gen8 seems to be a problem. We have already opened a case with HP Support and after spending a couple of days they have basically given up asking us to contact the developers.

We are running wimboot 1.0.6 with the latest HP firmware and the build itself works fine on the same hardware when we boot straight to WDS. This seems to be a common issue with Gen8 and wimboot as I can see that other people have also run into similar problems...

I have attached the screenshot of the error before the machine reboots with this post. I would appreciate if anyone could shed some light on how we can fix this issue.

EDIT: The forum is not letting me attach the screenshot and throwing up "The file upload failed. Please choose a valid file and try again. Error details: There was a problem moving the uploaded file to its destination."!?

RE: Wimboot error on HP Gen8 hardware
This issue should be fixed as of wimboot v2.4.0.
