Since you can boot from a ISO Image via HTTP using iPXE......
I was wondering if anyone built some software which could mount an ISO over HTTP? As it turns out, someone does... for Windows.

There are a couple of tutorials for doing something like this in Linux...
httpfs and httpfs2 uses FUSE:
