aQuantia - new platform candidate for iPXE codebase
Hi,
We would like to introduce a new platform candidate for iPXE codebase. We are aQuantia Corporation, a leader in high-speed connectivity solutions for data centers, enterprise and mobile applications. We are the number one supplier of 10GBASE-T PHYs in data centers, and our new networking adapter is the first in the industry that supports 5-speed Ethernet: 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G. There are numerous newly announced products featuring Aquantia technology from ASRock, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI and many more yet to be announced. Here are several recent announcements: Aquantia Expands Distribution Footprint Into Southeast Asia and India with World Peace Industrial Group Aquantia and Cameo Partner on Switch Platforms to Accelerate Multi-Gig Adoption in SoHo and SMB markets Aquantia’s chips will enable blazing-fast local area network games ASRock Z270 SuperCarrier has been given the COMPUTEX d&i Award 2017 (AQUANTIA 5Gb/s Ethernet) The driver for our networking adapter is part of the Linux kernel: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/ker...?h=v4.11.8 Based on this Linux open-source driver we would like to issue a call to the iPXE developer community to introduce support for our adapter. The top 3 developers that will pick up this project will receive an adapter from us. We will gladly support and answer questions, and help with implementation and testing. We will also provide remote VPN link to machine farm with our H/W and remote rebooter to enable developers to work remotely. Please, respond to this post with your details and pointer to recent relevant open source contributions. Happy hacking! |
