iPXE - Hardware detection (harddrives) like cpuid's arch/pae..
Hi!
"Stupid" question. Could iPXE detect if an harddrive like /dev/sda is present? We have an "Diskless" installation option, and a thought came up: If the computer is supposed to be a "diskless". We remove the harddrive (since it is not used in the machine, with diskless install). Just some simple block device checking would be sufficient. If no disk in this machine, you will only see the diskless install option in our menu. That was the thought. Any ideas? Torgeir |
