[solved] Problem with installation on iscsi target
Hi there,

I'm new to iPXE and this is my first post here so I'll introduce myself.

My Name is Marcus, 32 years of age and working as team-lead of a IT-Suppor department.

I'm using gPXE for about 2 years in my Workstation now and would like to switch to iPXE for my new HTPC system.

The problem is, that I don't see the iscsi disk in the setup of Windows 7 Ultimate X64 even after iPXE said "Preserving connection to SAN" in the boot process.

I'm using the following setup :

Client :

Asus E35M1-I Deluxe
2 GB RAM
Onboard NIC

Booting from a USB Stick with a iPXE built from git yesterday evening.

PCI Vendor : 10ec
PCI Device : 8168

It seems like this mainboard is using the EFI approach but I'm not completely sure about that.

Server :

Fedora 15 X64
tgtd as iscsi target

I need to lookup the Installer-Logfile in the evening and will post the results here, because I have no access to the system right now.

Maybe someone has a clue what might be going on here.
