You should probably take this issue to the openwrt/Asus forum instead.

I did installed a diff FTP server on router from the optware repository . Server is bftpd and is working fine but ....download speed droped from 50 mb/sec to 20 mb/sec .
I did put a request to assus suport to update vsftpd to latest version in next firmware . Let's hope they will do that .
