iPXE & EFI BIOS

RE: iPXE & EFI BIOS
Most UEFI-based motherboards can be coerced into booting in BIOS mode for legacy operating systems (like Windows XP). Check your motherboard manual for how to enable this feature. It might be quite well hidden. If you try to boot ipxe.usb (iPXE on a USB stick) or ipxe.iso (iPXE on a CD) using the USB/CD boot feature of the motherboard it should automatically start it in BIOS mode (if it actually works). If iPXE loads and you can get to the shell you have just confirmed that your MB supports BIOS boot. Then the next part is just to figure out how you can force it to PXE boot in BIOS mode.
