ipxe and serva
We just got serva (http://www.vercot.com/~serva/) to help at a repair shop. ris and other PXE os'es just fine (windows xp and linux) but when it comes to windows vista and newer we get can not find file errors
http://www.vercot.com/~serva/an/WindowsP...leshooting (8.7.3)

what could cause this serva's menus are based on pxelinux and the menus update each new os that is added automagicly so configurations change.

Anymore info needed?
Suggestions for scripts?

RE: ipxe and serva
You might get better help at the serva and/or pxelinux forums/mailing-lists. But without some screenshots, configuration files and/or logs that actually show the problem it's hard for us to help you. If you're a beginner you might find some assistance at http://networkboot.org/ site and from the http://ipxe.org/howto/winpe tutorial.

RE: ipxe and serva
I contacted him. it is with the version of pxelinux he uses.
Quote:...unfortunately ipxe is still unreliable, that’s why Serva is based in an old
but highly reliable pxelinux stack.
I’m afraid w/o pxe you will not be able to use Serva’s automated BINL services....
but i did get confirmation that older windows and other os's still work with ipxe
Quote:...You are actually right the functions that handles the BCD location requires pxe,

NWA and RIS are not affected…
so this is a situation of me going in and somehow updating with ipxelinux/newer pxelinux or waiting for him.
i consider this semi closed because of only one portion failing for me.
