Reversing iPXE burning to ROM

Reversing iPXE burning to ROM
If I'm going to burn iPXE into my Mellanox InfiniBand ROM, is this process reversible?

Before doing so, can I save the existing ROM to a file? Would downloading Mellanox's flash image and applying it overwrite iPXE, or is that for a different ROM area?

Most ROM flashing tools allow you to export/extract the existing ROM before you flash a new one. I would recommend you check the Mellanox flash tool documentation, or send an email to their support line and just ask.
